A book of condolence has been opened for Brown Edge people to pay their respects to The Prince Philip. The Village Hall will be open between 9 am and 6 pm daily for this purpose in line with COVID guidelines.
The contents of the book will be communicated to Her Majesty and archived for posterity.
Could all people attending please follow COVID distancing guidelines.
Brown Edge Parish Council and The District Councilors placed floral tributes to The Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh at Bank End by the new Parish Flagpole.
If anyone would like to place their own tribute there they are very welcome to do so.
In line with plans drawn up by Prince Philip, these flowers will be collected and composted and the compost used to nourish a tree planted to remember him.
Because they will be composted please remove any plastic wrappers etc.
