Notice of May 2020 Remote Monthly Meeting

In the current crisis, it is important that the Parish Council keeps business continuity for all our residents and community. On the basis of new government legislation provided to us by NALC (National Association of Local Clerks). Parish Councils are permitted to now hold full council meetings remotely using video communication software.

Brown Edge Parish Council have opted to use Zoom and will be holding a remote meetings whilst the government lockdown and social distancing laws are in place.

The Parish Council will be holding the next full council meeting on Wednesday 6th May, 7:30pm. Download agenda HERE

Public participation is still available and those interested in attending the meeting must request the meeting ‘log in’ information from the Parish Clerk (prior to the meeting) by emailing [email protected]

Normal meeting rules apply, the public will have an opportunity to speak during the public participation section but will not be able to contribute to any other part of the meeting.

Notice of Extraordinary Meeting 1st May 2020

The council will be holding an extraordinary meeting on Friday 1st May 2020, 7:00pm. This meeting will be held remotely via Zoom in accordance with new govenment legislation provided by NALC (National Association of Local Clerks).

This meeting is to discuss the appointment of the new clerk and under Section 1 of the Public Bodied (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 members of the public are excluded from this meeting.

Notice of Extraordinary Meeting 18th March 2020

The council will be holding an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday 18th March 2020, 7:30pm at Brown Edge Village Hall (subject to national/local circumstances) to discuss the parish council’s operating plan during our current situation. This meeting is not to discuss what the government is planning or the virus itself. If you would like information on this then please go to the government website.

This meeting is open to the public however we would like to urge people to please take caution and think before you consider attending. The draft minutes from this meeting will be made available as soon as possible.
